Ballad of the Moon Bear

A century ago, a piece of the moon came crashing down. It landed in a small bowl of forested hills not too far from the village of Abbersconder. With that piece of lunar rock came a thousand-thousand fragments of fleeting dreams which can never be. The moon dreams of pale moth swarms and a droning lullaby. The moon dreams of rippling fields of silent wheat. And while the village folk of Abbersconder sleep, the fallen piece in the western hills invites the moon’s dreams to wash over the green knolls like a lazy advancing tide. 

A large Black Bear has been affected by the moonlight radiating from the lunar rock and has undergone several mutations. Sightings of this Moon Bear have caused a great deal of rumors among the village folk.

This module is a low level adventure for OSR fantasy RPGs made for the June 2022 OSR Jam! It features a small open ended sandbox including a village with detailed shops and NPCs. I tried to write an adventure I would enjoy running; something open with no set goals, more of a toolbox. It has slightly less art than usual, but I plan on adding more after the jam!
